Circular waste management and local youth achievements
I had a good week out in the constituency last week.
I dropped into Allstone, who supply aggregate to customers in Gloucestershire and beyond. They're doing fantastic work, committing to circular and carbon neutral waste management too - recycling 90% of the material that comes in each day through the Speedy Skips side of the business. We also had some productive conversations around waste crime, which the Labour government is looking to tackle with new reforms.
I also presented awards for both the Boy’s Brigade and GL1 Swim Club last week; it’s brilliant to celebrate the achievements of young people in Gloucester and the community spaces in which they thrive.
