My letter to the Education Secretary

Last week in Gloucester

It's my mission to ensure that every community in Gloucester benefits from government investment and want to support local organisations and authorities like Gloucestershire County Council to achieve this.

That's why I've written to Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson to ask her to include the Bartongate Children and Family Centre in the next phase of the government's Best Start Family Hubs rollout.

Best Start hubs provide a one-stop-shop for support, ensuring no family falls through the cracks. They also prioritise early intervention and social and community support, which we know are vital for happy and healthy children and families.

I will keep working hard to ensure every part of our city sees the investment they deserve
