Out in the community

It was great to be out in Hucclecote this week with my team as part of our community listening survey. The biggest issue raised was the state of pavements in the area - something I’ll be taking directly to the County Council.

I’m keen to get across as much of the city as I can over the next few months. I’m here to listen to you and make sure your concerns and priorities are properly represented.

This week, I was also lucky to pop down to the opening of PlayAble on Brunswick Road

PlayAble is bringing something truly unique to our city, creating a welcoming space where gaming can be enjoyed by everyone. Accessibility is at the heart of everything they do, with a wide range of adaptations and specialist equipment designed to make video games more inclusive for people with disabilities and additional needs.

Not only is this an exciting new attraction for Gloucester, but it's also a valuable community space that champions inclusion and equal access to activities that many of us enjoy.

If you're looking for something different to do in the city centre, I would highly recommend paying them a visit. They're open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5:30pm and are well worth checking out. Congratulations to the whole PlayAble team on this exciting new venture!
